My adventure in helping my daughter and future son-in-law plan their wedding continues!  After getting the wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses and cake selections nailed down, we moved on to flowers.  Kayla’s choice for florist to help with her big day is Botanica Flowers and Gifts.  They are an all-occasion florist out of Greensboro that specializes in weddings.

Kayla’s wedding planner, Nishaka Proctor, scheduled an appointment for us to sit down with the owner, Cindy, to discuss the flowers for the wedding.  Nishaka keeps an inspiration board on her iPad that she shared with Cindy, giving her the color scheme and some flower arrangements that Kayla and Jeff liked.

Cindy spent a great deal of time talking with Kayla and Jeff, pulling flower samples to show them and discussing options.  It was clear that Cindy understood their vision – not just the color scheme.  We feel so blessed to have found a floral designer willing to take the time to understand my daughter and her fiance as a couple and who really got the theme for their wedding:  ”fun”.

“Cindy is not only a talented florist, she is also very creative.  I love collaborating with her on floral ideas.  She knows how to take what I envision and execute the design.”     – Nishaka

“I loved her refreshing and unique ideas.  She understood my vision for my wedding.” – Kayla

Kayla and Jeff are really excited about their selections for the wedding.  It turned out to be a great meeting and one more wedding task crossed off the list.  Being with Kayla at this stage in her life is so exciting for me.  As her mother, watching her spread her wings and embark on her own path makes me so proud.
